After all that has been going on in the world; we could all do with some form of hope and new beginnings. In color psychology white is the color of new beginnings, wiping the slate clean, so to speak. It is the blank canvas waiting to be written upon. While white isn’t stimulating to the senses, it opens the way for the creation of anything the mind can conceive.
I don’t think that white is just restricted to being worn for the summer. Fall and winter are great times to sport white and still make a statement. I wore an almost all-white outfit in San Francisco (pictured above) when it was fall, even though everyone and their mother were getting their sombre toned outfits out.
You can wear an all-white outfit and carry a contrasting bag or wear different coloured heels/flats to complement your look! I chose my favourite all-white playsuit for a day out in NYC and a shopping trip after. Since I was feeling a bit edgy, I added my lace white shrug to add to the look. This is classy and minimalist, anyone can wear all-white and ace this look.
If going all-white feels too uncomfortable and you need your black pants or jeans or you just want to have a more casual take on it. Here are few other looks I tried with white tops. Just a nice white t-shirt from Michael Kors paired with my LA snapback (wouldn’t be caught wearing this in London) and I was good to go.
In London, we love monochrome outfits and dark hues all year round almost. I don’t think I’ve ever been caught without atleast a black jacket or dark shoes ever. Blame the weather for the most part, but to fit in and still stick to my love for white I wore one of the most comfortable white tops from Zara and paired it with straight leg jeans for a day out which involved a lot of traveling and shopping. I personally feel that if you need to dress up in a few minutes and yet look like you took over an hour to get ready, add a white top/shirt or even a white blazer to your look and you’ll be good to go.

White outfits are effortlessly chic and classy without having the tried too hard effect. That’s what makes it an all round winner!
So don’t shy away from those whites, and wearing them after Labour day is a big Yes Yes!
Keep sparkling! xx
